Ski the Summit.

So I found this tee shirt and the font on it screams 70s to me. During that era I always think of thick, bold type and that is just what this font is. Also the repetition of the letters at the bottom also remind me of the 70s as well as add to the overall layout. i really like the little skier going down one of the mountains made by the "m's."

I would probably consider this design playing tribute more to that of the 80's with the really large type faces that began to become really large(fat) to almost mimic the dot matrix printing that came along with the proliferation of the computers.

I agree that this design is playing off the idea that came about in the 1980's. when I think of the origin of big block letters I think 80's. I would have to agree that certain decisions used in the design such as color and transition of color do remind me of the 1970's.

I find the gradation of colors quite appealing in this t-shirt design. The repetition of the dot from the eye is clever too; I like the way to second one is supposed to be the sun in the background of the mountains. The substitution of m's for mountains are convincing as well, and the repeated forms below add an interesting combination of negative/positive space. I'm not sure what era this reminds me of because there are references (like you all said) to different periods...but I know that I do think of this design as vintage.

I think the design is most definitely paying tribute to the 1980's with the bright neon blue and white. The font used is also popularly displayed in many 1980's ads, posters and t-shirts. I kind of also think that the shirt design reminds me of what my Mom has... I've seen some t-shirts from the 70's that she has, and now when I think back to that... I kind of think that the design refers to two different periods.

i think a way for this logo to represent more of a 70's feel, a different color scheme needs to be in order; like a tie dye and a more organic feel..more hippie.

i also agree that it has a 70's and 80's feel. It is fun an funky i love how they made the word into mountains. It is an interesting design that i think was pretty well thought out.

this shirt is crazy. but i guess i see it more 80s. It makes me think of all the mtv stuff and cheesy music videos that came out as computers became new and people started to experiment with what they could do on them. after looking at the shirt the first thing that popped in my head was the pink floyd logo with the repeated lines. that 80s style is definitely represented with the repetition and thick font.

I also think it has an 80s feel. I like how the M's form mountains and how the dot of the eye seem to be in a larger size that seems to also give it an 80s feel too.

This is a cool use of type as image, and also a neat throwback to the late 70's, early 80's. Its an eye catching shirt design, which is needed. The color and design is very legible, and appealing to the eye.

I would agree that this is more of an 80s look with the different layers. It's a nice design because it has the illusion of depth, and the colors all go together nicely.
