how can I "have a nice day" when you are ugly

I hate getting caught at this light on university and having to stare at this billboard. It has bothered me since our type 1 days, when we were learning how letterforms were created. If Farrington Field wants to cut their letters out of sticky tape stuff, they need to make sure they put all of the counters of the letterforms in the correct places so they do not alter the width of the letter's stroke. The counters of the O's and R's on the top line are terribly placed!!! If no one fixes this, I think I'm going to get out of my car one day with a ladder and fix them myself!

I never noticed the font on that sign but it looks wonky. The center on the"o's" are not actually center which bothers me and this happens in many of the other letters too.

Gross. Yeah only on the top of the sign are the O's wonky. I really find this distracting also. I always get stuck at that light right with this sign in view, and everytime I find something new that bugs me. It's really almost 2 separate fonts from the top and bottom.

This reminds me of those signs where the "S" is placed upside down, so the base of the "S"...which is generally slightly larger than the top curve...is actually at the top. And like this sign, is very noticeable to me, and drives me crazy. Its simple mistakes that sometimes ruin a design.

How could the designer mess up such a clean and simple font? It just looks terrible...I really am curious as to how the designer managed to mess this up. How could anyone (even a simple-minded person who knows absolutely nothing about typography) agree to this sign? I wouldn't want to be a student there at that school; it sends out such a bad message and leaves this school with such a terrible reputation; if their signs are so carelessly put together, it is quite clear that their educational system might be the same...

I actually drove by this sign the other day and noticed it and remembered what you had said about it. And yes, I agree that the O's are just distracting and bothersome.

This could have been more tastefully done for something that is out in public and grabs as much attention as it does. The o's are terrible and its just not pretty in anyways.

i hatteeee this sign! the whole stadium alone looks crappy and ghetto and the sign doesnt help. it takes away from the beauties of the museums nearby. the O's bother me the most. it is inconsistant which makes me feel like it wasnt on purpose. it was just a tacky mistake. come on fort worth! clean up your act!
