This is was an interesting type that i found in a poster for a play , it really re enhances the idea of old or of a old french bohemian play . There is an old feel to the type, the stretched out forms , almost hand made and deformed, as well as color combine to give a great bohemian french look to it . I mainly chose it because of just how different it is to the approach we take on in theater poster our days and how these poster are so vintage.

This text definitely has an interesting and foreign feel to it. The letters appear to have been elongated, which emphasizes the verticality of the whole poster. I like the way the "e" fits in between the "l" and "s" too; every letter has a snug fit, but it doesn't appear illegible. The expressive quality I get from it goes along very nicely with the expressive aspect of this artistic theatrical production.

i think this poster took a different approach to the "vintage" feel...usually people stick to very popular eras like the 50's, 70's, 80's because they are very stylized. this poster not only picked a different style but it illustrated a different culture and many people, who are very intrigued by different cultures, would quickly be drawn to this poster.

i like this poster a lot, i appreciate the vintage feel and the vertical elements as well. It makes me wonder about what the play could be about, which means it is serving its purpose.

it may not be the most readable type, but it almost convey's the message with out being legible. I enjoy the playfulness in the type that imitates the figures below. It does a nice job of complimenting the whole piece without having one subject (the type or the image) dominate the other.
the color pallet is what help give the vintage feel and the hand drawn look of the type is also a throw back.

I think this poster was done beautifully! The way the type is rendered is unique and interesting! I enjoy how each of the letters relate to each other. Good example of the vintage style!

I love the old vintage posters. They have such a distinct look to them. THey type on this poster s great because of they hand written feeling it gives. It also fits well with the style of the poster.
