back to shcool..... back to shcool

The person who carefully painted this road marking should have perhaps spent a bit more time brushing up on their spelling, rather than perfecting their brush strokes. Someone who is going to make a sign for a school should maybe go back to it for a few spelling lessons. A pet peeve of mine is spelling.... first of all i am the WORST speller ever! but if i were to do something like this, i would have double checked to see what i was doing. well at least it has the word "cool" in it.... which i am.

I completely agree. If there is going to be a design element in public like this, despite how simple the design, it should still be paid careful attention to. I mean, how ironic. The word school is spelled wrong. It does drive me crazy, but despite that, I'd probably laugh every time I passed it.

You have to wonder if this was done on purpose or if the painter really spelt "school" wrong. Because if it was not done on purpose, you would think someone would have painted over it within the next week and spelled "school" correctly. I do know one thing, when I send my kids to school, I am going to make sure their school's signs are spelt correctly!

HA! Where is this? I can't believe it hasn't been changed yet. I also dont get the spell brush effects put on the OOL with the stripe though it.

Not only did the painters misspell the word, but the paint job is terrible; the letters appear to be on different baselines and the paint was unevenly applied, creating crooked outlines around the letters. Also, what's the purpose of the dashes in the two o's and l?

I'm quite confused...where's the school? It's obviously not in this picture, so the placement of this is not right!

First, I can't believe that someone actually spelled school wrong in such a public place. Second, who would let this stay on the ground and not paint over it as soon as possible.

Oh my gosh! Totally agree... spelling is a pet peeve of mine too. I do wonder though if the painter did this on purpose or if this was done in a different country. If it was purposeful, it shouldn't have been in such a public place especially where parents see it and question how good a school actually is.

That is really funny! I can not believe they spelled it wrong and no one said anything! Im with pollypocket, I wonder if they did do it on purpose, but I can not think of a logical reason why they would have.

Yea, i can not believe someone let this happen. But maybe they were dyslexic or something, stuff like that happens to me sometimes!

o jeeze. you have to love these. I mean with this one imparticular just because of the irony in it. But the thing of it is, we all make mistakes like this, but it's not always caught quite like this. Reminds us all to go back and check our work.

is this a joke? i really think its a joke because if not, whoever wrote this needs to go back to school. they should of taken it a bit further if it is a joke to make it come on that way...because it just looks dumb..literally. anyways, i dont think that is a good idea because i can see small children getting confused on the spelling of school when they see that everyday
