Redo

Ok. So here is my second go around. I got confused about what we were supposed to post. Anyways, I am a huge fan of Project Runway and I remember seeing the first episode of season 3 and noticing Jeffery's tattoo. I mean it is kind of hard not to considering is takes up his whole neck. It says his sons name and then something like "love of my life" I think. But I think that having the letters curve around the neck emphasizes it and draw attention to the tattoo. Also, because it is a more elegant type and thinner lines it does not make it appear to be one large blob of black.

The type handling here is beautifully done. I'm not sure why he chose to put this on his neck, but is a sweet message he is trying to communicate. I enjoy the thin strokes; if he had gone any thicker it would have been too illegible and overwhelming because of how much copy there is.

Wow I bet that tatoo had to hurt! But I really like the flow and how curvy the type is. I think its a never intresting placement of the tatoo and how it works with the body part to wrap and curve.

I remember watching season three, and whenever Jeffery was on the screen all I could look at was his NECK!! The tattoo is overpowering, but I think that the typography is handled well. The script font is really nice and appropriate for what it says. I appreciate how they left the letters thin. There is so much written that if they were any thicker, it would be even larger.

I think this is beautiful. As you mentioned the choice in type is really successful because of it's thin weight in the lines it isn't a big blob, but rather it creates this beautiful free flowing form. I can't imagine the pain of getting that tattoo and I sure don't know many people that I would think it would look good on, but it really does work for him and his style.

First off, The skin around your neck is sensitive.. so ouch! But I do like the fact he put the type around his neck... he'll definitely stand out in the crowd! I like the type face used.. although it is a bit difficult to read in certain places... like at the bottom or around the curve of his neck.

I love the typeface that the tattoo artist chose; the embellishments really make this into something that's more than type. I think if this man wanted a tattoo that had a specific message, he should have gone with less type. I am attracted to the whole design rather than what it actually says since there is so much type on his neck (owie!), so I am not inclined to read everything. Therefore, maybe something with fewer words would emphasize his message better. Otherwise, it's quite beautiful!
