got ink?

when i think about tattoos i could not think of mr.50cent. this is such a huge tattoo but so well done. the typeface is really interesting it has this quality of shading and relief. its a type of letter that i have definetly seen in hip hop culture world. there is a really nice arch this style of type is normally arched and a lot of embedment around it.  there is somewhat of a baroque or old style to the typeface and its interesting how that has changed with the new Hip Hop culture. this is a really a cool tattoo.

The type that 50 chose for his tattoo is very fitting for his gansta style haha! i also enjoy the way he enhanced the huge 50 on his back with all the little designs in it.

for being someone who hates huge tattoos, i acctually like this one. it really shows his style. the choice to use black ink only helps to simplify it a bit. the design in the 50 gives it character and dimension.

I'm huge 50 fan. I mean not many people can get shot in the chest like 7 times and live through it. I think that having a full back tattoo works well in this case because it is only black ink. I think that if it had color in it the tattoo would be way to busy and look more cheesy than legit.

this tattoo is very graphic and the layers within it give a great intensity. Very fitting for that culture and the image he is trying to portray, and heck, now is back doubles as a billboard.
