Knowledge is Power

This layout was done by National Forest who is located in LA. I really enjoy this spread because of its simplicity. usually i really dont enjoy reading the text and just look at the pictures, but in this one i would be willing to read the type. the amount of type is balanced though out the layout, which help out the readability of the piece.

Wow, this two page spread flows so well together. Mainly because of how the illustration flows from one page to the next without a break. I enjoy how they incorporated illustration with photos and type. And they did balance out the amount of type and image well!

I really like it to. I like how the illustration works with the type like polly said. It makes it break up the type and not overwellem you with copy.

I agree that I would actually read this type. It all fits together so well even though the type is mainly on the edges with the images in the middle. I feel like usually you see it the other way around.

Oh I like this... it has a very organic... green feel to it. It flows well together with the rolling hills and the hands... nice placement. It looks informative and it makes me want to read it. The simplicity of the typography in the headline was a good decision made by the designer because it would have detracted from the whole idea itself.
