I really enjoy how this body copy works with the image and subject of the story. I feel it complements the images and really helps back the subject. When I first saw it, I was immediately drawn into it, because of the diagonals in the body copy. I think it really attracts the reader and makes them interested in, and want to read, the story. They did a nice job of allowing the diagonals in the body copy to flow into the images. Also, even with the diagonals, the body is still legible, as is the interesting headline design.

You are so right! The way the images and the diagonal paragraphs of body copy relate with one another is brilliant. It really makes this layout work as a unit. I also enjoy the white space and how it is just as much a part of the composition as the type itself. It helps give the paragraphs room to breathe and it also gives the eye a direction to move in.

What I like about this layout is the way the headline type and the way the images are cropped and displayed mimics and enhances the structure of this building.

I really like this to I really like the use of angles and the different shapes the designer creates with the sharp angles and how the parts work and fit together.

This is a really smart layout.. It is different and fresh and keeps your eye moving very nicely. the cropping images and everything just flow well together.

I like the industrial feel to this layout, but the "a" kinda bugs me. I don't like how it's incomplete--but then again its supposed to emulate the way the architecture is. It looks like a very informative layout, which is important in a magazine spread-- you are supposed to inform and educate.

The angles draw your eye all around the page. Even though the layout is quite busy with all the diagonals, there is a lot of white space, which evens out the layout quite nicely.

For anyone that was just flipping through this magazine just to look at neat illustrations and designs, he or she would definitely stop to appreciate this interesting arrangement of type, even though it's body text! I love how it plays with the other images and pulled quotes from the article; the shapes of the body text really emphasize the angular aspect of the architecture found in the images. Neat!
